Payments Officer

Responsibilities: Handle payments to suppliers and other parties using various platforms, including banks, EMIs, and corporate cards;Verify and validate payment requests and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance before processing;Assist in managing and forecasting cash flow to support the company’s liquidity planning;Maintain an organized and up-to-date record of all payment transactions, ensuring transparency and traceability;Communicate with vendors and suppliers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure payment-related matters are handled effectively;Generate financial reports on payment activities and outstanding balances to support reporting and analysis;Ensure compliance with applicable financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies;Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payment processes for efficiency and accuracy;Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, and other departments to facilitate effective end-to-end payment operations;Provide guidance and support to other team members involved in payment-related activities, promoting consistency and knowledge sharing. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field;Solid understanding of banking systems and payment methods;Experience with banks, payment systems, or high-volume transaction processing is considered an asset;Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with strong analytical, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills;Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking;Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment;Flexible and open to new challenges;Knowledge of Kyriba software is a plus;Business-level proficiency in English (B2 level or higher – CEFR).
