Patient Sitter (Part Time, Nights)
About the position Responsibilities Maintain constant visual observation of assigned patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Assist in providing a safe and clean environment for patients. Communicate observations of the patient's activity and behavior to the assigned nurse regularly. Function as a virtual safety sitter, providing continuous remote observation of assigned patients. Verbally redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors and notify nursing staff if assistance is required. Communicate professionally and respect patient confidentiality and hospital policies. Offer support to peers and staff. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills. Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing. BLS (AHA) certification required at time of hire and must remain current. Previous clinical experience preferred.
