Patient Services Representative/ Medical Assistant
About the position

Responsibilities
ā¢ Greet registered patients upon their visit, triage patients through the patient flow process, and ensure a smooth experience.
ā¢ Monitor and ensure the proper functioning of clinical equipment, promptly escalating issues to the supervisor.
ā¢ Check schedules and accompany patients to the exam/procedure room. Assist patients with walking, transfers, dressing, and exam preparation.
ā¢ Maintain a sterile environment, ensuring adherence to standard infection control precautions.
ā¢ Prepare exam rooms before patient visits, clean rooms and instruments, and restock supplies between patients.
ā¢ Fulfill patient care responsibilities, including taking vital signs, updating patient history, and assisting providers in the exam room. Input patient data into the practice management system.
ā¢ Fulfill clerical responsibilities, such as sending/receiving/scanning medical records, obtaining diagnostic reports and managing the charting process.
ā¢ Regularly check dated materials and medications for expiration dates and discard expired items.
ā¢ Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and triage calls to appropriate personnel.
ā¢ Customer service-oriented mindset.
Requirements
ā¢ High School diploma or GED.
ā¢ Certification: Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
ā¢ Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
ā¢ EMR systems (1 year preferred), vital signs (1 year preferred)
ā¢ Fully bilingual - English and Spanish preferred.
