Patient Safety Observer - NOT REMOTE NIGHT SHIFT
Position Summary
The Patient Safety Observer is responsible for providing continuous monitoring of patients to promote patient safety and prevent harm.
Essential Functions
ā¢ Maintain constant visual observation of multiple patients simultaneously
ā¢ Monitor patients for safety risks based on nurse-driven indications
ā¢ Verbally redirect patients with a digital 2-way audio device located in patient rooms
ā¢ Notify staff if patients require assistance using proper etiquette and escalation protocols
ā¢ Confirm patient information throughout all interactions
ā¢ Document all interactions with patients and clinical staff including patient and nurse introductions
ā¢ Demonstrate proficiency with variety of technology platforms
Qualifications
ā¢ High school diploma or equivalent preferred
ā¢ Experience in patient care preferred
ā¢ Experience with medical terminology preferred
ā¢ Technical proficiency of computer software applications
ā¢ Extreme attention to detail
