About the position

The Patient Account Representative III (Insurance Biller) at Manet Community Health Center is responsible for managing multiple insurance accounts, ensuring compliance with insurance guidelines, and maintaining effective communication with insurance companies regarding claims statuses. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to handle aged accounts receivables while providing support to the billing department and training new staff as needed.

Responsibilities
• Maintain multiple insurance companies with a complete understanding of their guidelines and requirements.

• Responsible for aged accounts receivables and follow up on unpaid balances.
,
• Contact insurance companies for claims statuses and inquiries.
,
• Identify and apply problem-solving techniques for billing issues, including appeals.
,
• Maintain knowledge of billing procedures and requirements for government and insurance payers.
,
• Participate in meetings, training, and audits as requested by management.
,
• Provide backup support for all functions in the billing department under the direction of the Patient Accounts Supervisor.

• Monitor and follow up on sources of problems related to accounts receivable and take corrective actions as needed.
,
• Demonstrate respect for confidentiality in processing patient account information.
,
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
,
• Basic working knowledge of computers and office procedures.
,
• Strong customer and communication skills.
,
• Medical coding and/or billing experience is required.
,
• Ability to read and write in English.
,
• At least two years of experience as a Patient Account Representative in a healthcare setting.
