Patient Access Representative

The Patient Access Representative is responsible for scheduling primary and specialty office visits while maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographics and insurance information. This role involves verifying patient eligibility, coordinating insurance benefits, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of healthcare scheduling and insurance processes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Schedule appointments for primary care and specialty visits in a timely and accurate manner.
• Provide clear location instructions and ensure patients are informed about visit details.
• Maintain and update patient demographic information, including address, phone numbers, and other personal details.
• Verify patient eligibility and obtain accurate insurance benefits for each visit.
• Coordinate insurance benefits and ensure accurate processing of claims.
• Act as a liaison between patients, providers, and insurance companies to address and resolve any discrepancies.
• Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments, collect necessary information, and provide answers to inquiries.
• Maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, privacy policies (HIPAA), and organizational standards.
• Assist with administrative tasks, including scanning documents, handling phone calls, and providing support to other team members.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Commitment to providing exceptional patient service.
