Patent Coordinator
Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP, a transatlantic law firm, seeks a Patent Coordinator for Denver or one of our California offices. This role will support members of the Intellectual Property Practice Group focused on patent prosecution. This is a remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare and file US patent applications
Provide legal administrative support for patent prosecution (e.g., working with attorneys and patent agents to prepare and file prosecution papers, including US filings)
Attend to various patent-related formalities (Drawings, sequence listing, Powers of Attorney for US and foreign prosecution)
Manage collection and filing of formal documents (inventor declarations, assignments)
Prepare and file Information Disclosure Statements
Review Patent Term Adjustment determinations, proofing patents, filing Certificates of Correction, and similar activities
Special projects as needed (handling portfolio transfers, client reports, etc.)
Docket management, and file maintenance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelorโs degree and at least one to two years of patent-related experience preferred.
The candidate must have excellent computer skills and a strong knowledge of standard office software (e.g., MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat).
Must have great attention to detail and a disciplined eye for quality checking document accuracy.
Compensation: The national average salary for this role is $61,000-$76,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications, and experience.
