Schedule Details:
Location of Services: Local School Campus
Lewistown, PA
Academic School Year Calendar, following Standard School Hours.
Typical Job Duties:
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Adapt lesson plans and teaching methods to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students in special education.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including parents, therapists, and other educators, to ensure comprehensive support for students.
Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to maximize learning outcomes.
Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field from an accredited institution.
Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
Additional endorsements or certifications in specific areas of special education (Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Disabilities, etc.) is a plus.
