A warm and student-centered school district in Zion, is hiring a certified Middle School Science Teacher for the 2025–2026 school year. This is your opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists, innovators, and critical thinkers!
Position Details:
• Title: Middle School Science Teacher
• Location: Zion, IL (20 minute drive from Gurnee, IL)
• Start/End Dates: August 20, 2025 – June 1, 2026
• Schedule: Full-time | 37.5 hours/week | Monday–Friday
• Rate: Hourly rate TBD (based on experience)
• Employment Type: W-2 Contract
Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging science instruction aligned with Illinois learning standards
• Create hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that foster curiosity and critical thinking
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and support
• Maintain open and effective communication with students, families, and staff
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree (Education) or related field
• Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement(s) required
• Experience with curriculum design, planning and instruction
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in a school-based setting preferred
