As a Medication Assistance Pharmacy Tech II at Community Health Systems, you will play a crucial role in supporting the healthcare system by reviewing high-dollar self-pay accounts for medication assistance eligibility. This remote position emphasizes the importance of safe, quality healthcare and building relationships with patients while ensuring compliance with regulations and efficient communication with hospital departments.
Responsibilities
 Review high-dollar self-pay accounts to determine eligibility for medication or implant assistance based on departmental policies.

 Work with drug manufacturers to qualify patients and ensure timely completion of all qualifying accounts.

 Maintain ongoing communication with hospital departments regarding assigned accounts to facilitate efficient handling and resolution.

 Keep logs of approved accounts by facility and ensure proper handling of charges on approved accounts.
,
 Stay updated on applicable regulations, policies, and procedures by reviewing materials and attending in-services.
,
 Demonstrate proficiency in using all relevant systems and programs within the department.
Requirements
 A minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital pharmacy or healthcare setting with pharmacy knowledge required.

 Pharmacy Technician Certification required.

 High School Diploma or equivalent.
