Job Title: Hardware Engineer
Job Description::
The main function of a hardware engineer is to research, design, develop, test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. A typical hardware engineer is responsible for the manufacture and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components.
Job Responsibilities
ā¢ Review and approve plan layout, including type of computers and peripheral equipment modifications.
ā¢ Review and approve product prototypes, working models or theoretical models constructed with computer simulation.
ā¢ Supervise functioning of equipment and approve modifications to ensure system operates in conformance with specifications.
ā¢ Write detailed functional specifications that document the hardware development process and support hardware introduction.
ā¢ Act as a subject matter expert to engineering staff and consult specifications to evaluate interface between hardware and software and operational and performance requirements of overall system.
ā¢ Provide training and support to system designers and users.
ā¢ Design and develop computer hardware and support peripherals, including central processing units (CPUs), support logic, microprocessors, custom integrated circuits, and printers and disk drives.
ā¢ Direct technicians, engineering designers or other technical support personnel as needed.

ā¢ Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability.

ā¢ Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.

ā¢ Strong knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
ā¢ Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.

ā¢ Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
