Part-Time Proofreader
IngramSpark is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Part-Time Proofreader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of the English language, exceptional attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring high-quality content. As a Proofreader, you will play a crucial role in reviewing and refining various types of written materials, including manuscripts, marketing content, and internal documents.
Key Responsibilities:
ā¢ Review and proofread written content for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors.
ā¢ Ensure consistency in style, tone, and voice across all materials.
ā¢ Collaborate with authors, editors, and other team members to clarify content and resolve any discrepancies.
ā¢ Provide constructive feedback to improve the overall quality of the content.
ā¢ Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail while working under tight deadlines.
ā¢ Assist in the development of style guides and proofreading standards as needed.
Qualifications:
ā¢ Proven experience in proofreading or editing, preferably in the publishing industry.
ā¢ Strong understanding of grammar, punctuation, and style conventions.
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
ā¢ Familiarity with publishing software and tools is a plus.
