Part-time Proofreader
About the position
PGI Partners is an established and dynamic Indianapolis-based company that creates marketing, training, and reference material (both digital and print) for financial service companies and nonprofit organizations nationwide. We are seeking a part-time Proofreader to join our small but growing, dedicated, and fun team of professionals. Our ideal candidate will be meticulous, detail-oriented, and passionate about producing high-quality work that strengthens our team and impresses our clients. The part-time Proofreader will be a critical component of a strong editorial team, responsible for proofreading product content and client communications to ensure accuracy and consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to the tone of products designed for different audiences. The position may offer the opportunity to grow into a full-time role with additional responsibilities, such as editing and content creation.
Responsibilities
? Proofread all products and publications before they are sent to clients or the printer.

? Ensure consistency, clarity, and accuracy in all content.

? Apply feedback and constructive criticism to future projects.

? Other responsibilities as assigned, with potential for role expansion.
Requirements
? Self-motivated, conscientious, and organized.

? A strong proofreader with consistent attention to detail.

? Experienced with Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and other basic computer skills.

? A hard worker with the mentality of a lifelong learner.

? Able to work independently and as part of a team.

? Adept at managing multiple projects and appropriately prioritizing work while maintaining a sense of humor.

? Local to Indianapolis with the ability to work a hybrid schedule.

? A Bachelor of Arts degree in English, communications, or a related field is preferred.

? Prior proofreading experience is required.
