Part-Time Paralegal (Private Principal---not a law firm)
Private individual / CEO seeking an experienced, sharp, and highly organized part-time paralegal to assist with ongoing legal matters.
This is not a law firm position. You will work direct with a principal, supporting case organization, document preparation, procedural tracking, and coordination with outside counsel.
This is a fast-moving, high-responsibility environment requiring discretion, initiative, and strong judgement.
Scope of work:
review and organize litigation files, draft basic procedural documents (under direction), assist with court filing preparation (california familiarity), track deadlines and procedural timelines, organize evidence and case chronology, communicate with court clerks or arbitration admins as needed, assist in preparing materials for attorney transition.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years paralegal experience, experience in california civil litigation, comfortable working independently, strong document organization skills, strong communication skills, able to identify inconsistency, highly discrete and professional, not easily overwhelmed.
bonus: experience with construction litigation (AAA) or lien matters, experience assisting private individuals (not just firms)
important notes: this is not a long term law firm role, you will report directly to a principal and not a managing partner. Absolute confidentiality is required and must be able to start asap!!!
