Position Overview
We’re currently hiring an experienced, certified teacher to provide 1:1 online tutoring in English Language Arts (ELA) for students in grades K–6. This includes reading comprehension, writing skills, and phonics instruction. You’ll work with students individually during 30-minute sessions in the evening, helping them build skills and confidence over time.
Key Requirements
• Active and valid K–6 teaching certification (required)
• Currently teaching or recently taught in a classroom
• Strong ability to teach reading, writing, and phonics
• Orton-Gillingham trained (or equivalent highly preferred)
• UFLI training strongly recommended
• Available to teach evenings ((EST/CST preferred))
What You’ll Do:
• Deliver 1:1 online lessons to K–6 students in reading, writing, and phonics
• Use research-based strategies and follow Tutive’s instructional framework
• Communicate student progress and needs through brief lesson notes
• Maintain professionalism and rapport with both students and Tutive staff
Details:
• Pay: $18/hour (sessions are 30 minutes)
• Location: Remote (USA only)
• Schedule: Evenings, flexible based on your availability
• Technology: Comfortable using tools like Zoom, Google Workspace, and shared documents for instruction and communication
