About Marker Learning:

While receiving a proper evaluation for a learning disability could be the most impactful event in a student's life, only 4% of students receive a diagnosis because of the high costs of evaluations and lack of access to qualified... psychologists. It's estimated that early diagnosis of dyslexia and other learning disabilities could save the US over 72 billion dollars of economic impact and drastically improve the lives of millions of people.
Marker Learning is on a mission to make learning disability (e.g. dyslexia) assessments and diagnosis easier and more affordable for schools and parents. By leveraging proprietary technology developed by leading experts at Johns Hopkins, the end-to-end evaluation is completed in half the time and at 1/10th the cost of typical in person evaluations. About the Role
At Marker, we know that a learning disability diagnosis is just the beginning of the journey. As Marker's Learning Services Sales Associate, you'll be the "Learning Navigator" directly consulting with Marker's clients and driving adoption of Marker's emerging suite of tutoring and coaching services.
In this role, you will interface with individuals and families, taking a consultative sales approach to help our clients determine the most effective support options for their unique needs. You will be responsible for helping to execute Marker's downstream services sales strategy, providing feedback and insights to improve our sales tactics, and supporting the overall growth of our downstream offerings. Most importantly, you will embody Marker's core values, ensuring that we always put students first.

What you'll do:
ย• Help Marker's clients determine what type of support service (e.g. tutoring, coaching, etc.) would be most beneficial for them
ย• Attend learning services calls with Marker evaluation clients and new customers, taking a consultative approach to selling our support services
ย• Engage and form a genuine connection with Marker's customers, getting them excited about our offerings, recommending and selling solutions
ย• Become an expert on Marker's support programs and product offerings
ย• Manage to quarterly sales targets and carefully track sales outcomes, objection reasons, and conversion rates
ย• Test and iterate on new ideas, using a "fail-fast" approach to support rapid innovation
ย• Communicate and collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization
Qualities of an ideal candidate:
ย• Significant knowledge about the U.S. special education system, including IEPs, 504 plans, and various types of interventions (e.g. Orton Gillingham for dyslexia)
ย• Experience working in sales preferred, but not required
ย• Evening and weekend availability required, ideally after 5pm EST on weekdays and flexible availability on Saturdays and Sundays
ย• Motivated by Marker Learning's mission to expand access to high quality and affordable support for students with learning disabilities
ย• Highly empathetic and personable, with exceptional listening skills
ย• Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
ย• Ability to learn, adapt, and thrive in a dynamic environment
ย• Bias for action and a positive, "roll up your sleeves" attitude
Hourly Position (1099 Contractor): $20-30 per hour base, plus sales-based commission*
