Key Responsibilities As a Part Time Evening Cleaner, you will be responsible for a variety of custodial duties under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor. Your tasks will include: Sweeping, mopping, and washing floors and other surfaces inside buildings Operating light and heavy floor cleaning equipment, including buffers and shampoo machines Vacuuming rugs in offices and public areas, and spot cleaning or shampooing as directed Cleaning and dusting furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, and other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting Washing windowsills, glass surfaces, and trim at entrance doors and interior/exterior locations Maintaining bathrooms by cleaning, restocking paper supplies, and performing standard procedures such as damp wiping glass surfaces and cleaning tile walls Collecting and disposing of building trash, and replacing liners in waste baskets and trash containers Sweeping or shoveling snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed Performing periodic tasks such as high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing Carrying out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor Requirements and Qualifications While previous experience in cleaning is not required, you will need to possess certain skills and qualities to excel in this role.
