Part time estimator

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Part-Time Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate customer estimates, analyzing costs, and supporting project planning efforts. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure competitive pricing and successful project execution. Knowledge of construction and industry standards is a great asset in this role. This is a part time role with the opportunity for full-time hours if desired. Duties • Prepare detailed cost estimates for customers • Collaborate with shop specialists and clients to negotiate pricing and terms • Respond to potential leads that come in • Maintain organized records of estimates, and related documentation for future reference • Contribute to the development of proposals and bid packages to secure new projects. • Monitor industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing. Requirements • 1-3 years experience in construction estimating • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis and pricing accuracy • Ability to create drawings and specifications • Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates • Effective organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
