Harris Hill is recruiting for a Part Time Director of Finance & Resources position for this UK & International Outreach Charity. (Hybrid)
Responsible to: Chief Executive Officer
Responsible for: A team of 6 personnel responsible for (2 in Finance), Human Resources, Personnel Support, Governance, Assurance and Compliance.
Position & Hours: Part Time, 32 hours per week. Flexible over the week.
Hybrid Working: A minimum of 2 days a week would be required at their offices in London

The Role
The Charity is looking for a qualified accountant to be their new (Hands-on) Part Time Director of Finance & Resources. You will lead a team of 6 individuals responsible for Human Resources, Personnel Support, Governance, Assurance, Compliance and Information Technology.

MAIN PURPOSES OF THE JOB
Prepare and present the management accounts and related analysis, posting month end journals, ensuring bank and control account reconciliations are updated monthly. Prepare any other reports for the CEO and Trustees as required.
Ensure financial filing systems and records are continually updated and appropriate evidence of financial controls are always available for audit.
To produce financial reports for preparation of final audited accounts in line with current SORP guidance and accountancy standards. Lead contact with the auditors.
Preparing and reviewing monthly cash flow and working capital.
To ensure the efficient operation of all day-to-day financial transactions required using Salesforce CRM and Sage Line 50 software.
Oversee payroll and pension processing. Coordinate the smooth operation of the monthly payroll with external bureau and ensure that all relevant requirements relating to PAYE, etc. are complied with.
Promote accounting concepts such as accurate classification of revenue, expenditure, accruals accounting and materiality as part of an overall system of robust financial governance and budgetary control.
Take responsibility for the charitys accounting procedures, ensuring financial handbooks are kept up to date and all policies and procedures are adhered to.
