Part Time Barista - 2-3 Shifts / Week

Patika is an acclaimed third wave specialty coffee shop in downtown Austin. Come join a team that cares equally about our craft and each other!We have an opening for a great barista to join the team!Who We're Looking for:Someone willing to work 2-3 shifts per week, with Monday-Friday shifts only. Generally 630a-315p. Thursday availability currently required.Priority given to specialty coffee shop experienceSomeone who is friendly with customers and co-workers, reliable and responsible, positive and proactive. Someone who takes the initiative to connect with customers beyond a transactional approach and helps facilitate an environment of inclusion, care and kindness.Someone comfortable with a slower pace shift. Excellent fit for a student or maybe someone who does a remote work side gig.Responsibilities: Care about providing warm hospitality experiences for our guests through coffee. Our regulars become part of our daily lives, and we look forward to connecting with them beyond just a transaction.Execute the high quality standards we've established. This includes consistently dialing in the espresso and drip coffee to craft every drink to a high standard. Interest and ability to learn the different roasts we carry, and be able to answer customer questions related to retail coffees or brewing techniques. Be a team player to your co-workers, including our roasting partners, and the Patika Kitchen staff. We work hard to create a supportive environment and believe strongly that happy team members will give great customer experiencesExecute weekly & daily FOH tasks (like cleaning, restocking etc) to help set us up for success and maintain a smooth operation.This will be at one of our kiosk locations, which is a bit of a more relaxed pace.
