Part-Time Accountant / Personal Assistant (Remote – Chicago Area)
Overview
The CEO of Health Development Partners is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant/Personal Assistant to help manage both professional and personal responsibilities. This remote role is ideal for someone with real estate bookkeeping experience who enjoys flexible work, is highly organized, and values discretion and independence.
Responsibilities
• Manage real estate-related bookkeeping (QuickBooks or similar software)
• Organize receipts, invoices, and financial documents
• Prepare basic monthly reports
• Track income and expenses for multiple properties
• Calendar management and appointment scheduling
• Handle occasional personal assistant tasks (emails, research, errands coordination, etc.)
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
• Support budgeting processes by providing necessary data and analysis.
• Utilize Excel for data entry, analysis, and reporting tasks.
• Maintain records of financial transactions and assist with governmental accounting requirements.
Requirements
• Experience in real estate bookkeeping required
• Proficient in QuickBooks, Excel, and Google Workspace
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Highly trustworthy and able to handle confidential information
• Based in the Chicagoland area (in case of occasional in-person needs)
• Understanding of budgeting processes and financial statement preparation.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and continuous improvement in accounting practices.
