JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Penn State Mont Alto has Part-Time Adjunct Faculty openings in various disciplines.
Subjects may include, but are not limited to:
• Anthropology
• Criminal Justice
• English (writing/composition)
• Finance
• History
• Intro Accounting
• Intro Spanish
• Math
• Speech
• Statistics
• Various Business Topics
Job Duties
• Teaching one to three undergraduate level courses (1-3 credits each; up to a maximum of 9 credits per semester) each spring and/or fall semester depending on expertise and needs.
• Additional duties may vary by assignment.
Requirements and Qualifications
• Masters or equivalent experience/qualifications required in the discipline for which you are applying (or closely related field) required.
• One or more of the following preferred: teaching experience, Ph.D.
Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening, or weekend classes, as needed. Most teaching assignments will require in-person instruction, with occasional opportunities for remote teaching. Teaching assignments may require teaching day, evening, or weekend classes, depending on needs for the class being taught.
This role may be appointed at the rank of Adjunct Instructor or Adjunct Professor, depending on the candidate's academic credentials and relevant experience. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the vacancies are filled. A teaching demonstration will be required as part of the on-campus interview.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
