In this part-time role, you will be responsible for accurately entering data from insurance claims and authorization requests into our system, ensuring timely and efficient processing of claims. Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter data from insurance claims and/or authorization requests into our system, meeting client turnaround times and maintaining a high level of accuracy (98% or higher)
Navigate efficiently and effectively through imaging software to retrieve claims and authorizations for data entry
Differentiate between different claim types and follow established data entry guidelines
Accurately identify specific document types that require special handling
Collaborate with other team members to ensure work is completed in accordance with designated turnaround times
Support additional workflows as needed due to internal or external requirements
Perform quality reviews of other team members' claims/authorizations according to established data entry guidelines
Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing additional responsibilities as needed
Alert management of potential issues upon identification of discrepancies
Provide recommendations on process improvements to increase efficiencies as appropriate
Qualifications and Requirements
To be a successful candidate for this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
6 months or more years of experience in data entry or typing-focused role
Strong data entry/typing skills, with a minimum of 8,200 KSPH and 98% accuracy rate
Excellent attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines
Proficiency in imaging software and data entry systems (training provided)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in insurance claims processing or a related field
Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare industry concepts
Experience with quality review and process improvement initiatives
Certification in data entry or a related field (e.g. CDE, CDS)
