Role Description Mercor is seeking experienced parks and recreation workers to support a leading AI lab in advancing research and infrastructure for next-generation machine learning systems. This engagement focuses on diagnosing and solving real issues in public recreation programming through hands-on scenario creation and validation. Key Responsibilities Write tasks and scenarios that reflect real-world parks and recreation work based on your professional experience Create realistic situations involving program planning, facility management, community event coordination, and public engagement Develop scenarios for handling diverse populations, safety protocols, conflict resolution, budget constraints, accessibility accommodations, and inter-departmental coordination Review and evaluate AI responses to parks and recreation queries for accuracy and professional standards Provide detailed feedback on parks and recreation scenarios to improve AI training Qualifications 4+ years professional experience as a recreation worker in government, municipal parks and recreation, or public recreation programs Demonstrated professional recognition and management responsibilities Proficient with using computers and navigating various software systems Excellent written communication with strong grammar and spelling skills Pass video interview, background check, training, and qualification quiz 14 years experience preferred Requirements Fully remote and asynchronous — complete work on your own schedule Expected workload: 20+ hours per week, with flexibility to scale up to 40 hours Project start date: immediately, lasting for around 6 weeks Compensation & Contract Terms Independent contractor engagement through Mercor Hourly compensation, paid weekly via Stripe Connect Payments based on services rendered; contractors maintain full control over their work schedule and methods Application Process Applications reviewed continuously; shortlisted professionals will be contacted for next steps Typical response time: within one week of submission
