Position: Paraprofessional Kindergarten Support Specialist (#1950)
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Paraprofessional Kindergarten Support Specialist to join our team at NYE County School District. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting our teaching staff in improving literacy outcomes and assisting with special education goals, modifications, and accommodations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist teaching staff with instructional activities and student support
Help implement special education goals, modifications, and accommodations
Develop and maintain positive relationships with students, teachers, and families
Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs
Requirements:
Minimum High School diploma or equivalent
Paraprofessional requirements as per ESSA (48 College Credits or Passing ETS Paraprofessional Assessment)
Proof of qualification to be uploaded in application
Excellent English usage and grammar skills
Knowledge of educational, behavioral, and emotional principles and techniques
Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages, particularly those with handicapping conditions
Current CPR certification and First Aid training
Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with toileting needs
