Fennemore is seeking an experienced full-time TRUSTS & ESTATES PARALEGAL to support our Phoenix office. The paralegal is responsible for supporting multiple attorneys in Trusts, Estates & Wealth Preservation. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of related experience. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule with three in-office days and two remote workdays each week, subject to an initial training period.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with fiduciary, gift, and estate tax return preparation
Prepare drafts of estate planning documents and amendments for attorney review
Support deed and entity document preparation, recordings, filings with government agencies, court pleadings, and tax returns
Initiate and respond to correspondence and phone calls with clients, government agencies, and other parties regarding trusts and estates
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate with 5+ years of experience in trust and estate administration
Extensive knowledge of estate planning and the administration of trust and probate estates is recommended
Proficiency in the common collection of Microsoft Office software, especially Microsoft Excel
Familiarity with estate planning and tax preparation software is advantageous
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to manage several projects to completion on a deadline
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the firm and externally with clients and other professional advisors, as needed
