We are an all-remote patent litigation law firm spread across the United States. We are looking for an experienced paralegal to join our team. This individual will be assisting attorneys and other paralegals with all phases of litigation and trial preparation. The position requires complex litigation experience, including involvement in all phases of discovery, preparing for trials in federal court and providing trial support. Candidate must have experience with a range of litigation support applications and databases. Additional qualifications include strong analytical and organizational abilities, solid communication skills and ability to balance multiple tasks/projects at any given time. Flexibility for overtime is a must.
Core Responsibilities
• Assist attorneys in drafting and preparing legal documents such as discovery requests and responses, motions, deposition and trial exhibits, and subpoenas.
• Organize and manage case files, including pleadings, discovery, and correspondence Prepare internal agendas, meeting notes and status reports for internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain client database and client files
• Maintain complex calendars for multiple attorneys including scheduling meetings, depositions, mediations, and any other necessary appointments as needed
• Assist with trial preparation and procedures, discovery, document review and production Cite check briefs and other filing documents
Qualifications/Skills
• B.A or B.S. required; ABA-approved paralegal certification preferred
• Ideal candidate will possess five (5) years+ of complex federal litigation experience
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time sensitive documents, and have strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work well with others on projects, initiatives, and tasks that require their input and cooperation.
• Demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint, MS Teams
