They are seeking a dedicated Paralegal to join their litigation team, where the role involves supporting legal proceedings, drafting documents, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Responsibilities Paralegal to support the New York or New Jersey workers’ compensation defense practice Conduct research to support legal proceedings Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Record and store client information Skills An associate's degree is required Successful candidates must be ambitious and driven, possess a strong work ethic, and have good organizational skills Familiarity with legal research Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to push claims forward to closure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Deadline- and detail-oriented Candidate must secure a notary license (Lois LLC will reimburse for associated costs) Previous experience as a paralegal or in the legal field is appreciated but not required A Certificate in Paralegal Studies from an ABA-approved organization or a bachelor's degree is preferred Benefits An assigned hybrid schedule (with three in-office and 2 at-home days each week), after initial 30-day in-house onboarding and integration period; One-to-one attorney-to-paralegal ratio – you will have support here!
