About the opportunity
We are recruiting paid participants for the Video Recording Project, a research study capturing everyday life and work across America. We are looking for painter to go about their normal working day while wearing a small head-mounted camera.
No acting, no scripts. Just your real daily work.
What you will do
ā¢ Wear a GoPro HERO 13 head-mounted camera during your regular painting work such as interior, and exterior painting
ā¢ Record several hours of footage across multiple working days at your own pace
ā¢ Upload footage via a simple guided process. No technical experience needed
ā¢ Obtain consent from homeowners or clients at each property before recording
ā¢ Follow basic privacy guidelines provided by our team
Who we are looking for
ā¢ Licensed or experienced painting working in residential settings
ā¢ Based anywhere in the United States
ā¢ 18 years of age or older
ā¢ Native or fluent English speaker
ā¢ Able to obtain consent from clients or homeowners before recording at their property
Requirements
ā¢ Access to a desktop or laptop for uploading footage
ā¢ Reliable internet connection for uploads
ā¢ Comfortable wearing a lightweight head strap camera during work
ā¢ Ability to obtain written or digital consent from homeowners before recording
ā¢ No prior GoPro or video recording experience needed. Full guidance will be provided

ā¢ 128GB SD card, batteries, charger, and all accessories
ā¢ Step-by-step setup and recording instructions
ā¢ Consent form templates for homeowners and clients

Important notes
ā¢ Recording screens, televisions, or playing music is not permitted during sessions due to copyright
ā¢ Children must not appear in any footage and child-related items should be kept out of frame at all properties
ā¢ Consent is required from every adult who appears on camera, including homeowners and other household members
ā¢ You will have the chance to review and flag any private footage before it is used
