About the position Responsibilities • Maintain comprehensive customer profiles including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over-the-counter and home remedies) • Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. Make recommendations for therapy changes to the prescriber as appropriate • Utilize, monitor, and troubleshoot automated dispensing and fulfillment systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders • Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and engineering teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards • Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and state-specific laws • Maintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and reporting requirements • Answer clinical questions and provide guidance • Collaborate with healthcare team members • Document all healthcare team communications • Investigate and resolve medication errors • Implement policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal laws • Maintain required regulatory documentation • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives • Support pharmacy operations across departments as needed • Physical requirements may include ability to perform warehouse work and lift at least 20 pounds Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. degree • Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in state of employment (additional licenses may be required) • Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems • Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Nice-to-haves • Understanding of pharmacy laws and federal/state regulations • Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service Benefits • Equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package • Full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits Apply tot his job
