Job Title: Overnight Dispatch Agent
Summary
The Overnight Dispatch Agent is responsible for answering incoming calls related to non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and customer inquiries. This role requires projecting a professional company image through courteous and effective phone communication while coordinating trip assignments efficiently during overnight hours.
Essential Functions
⢠Answer incoming calls regarding Medicaid-eligible non-emergency discharges, ride requests, and estimated time of arrivals.
⢠Enter and manage trip orders accurately within the computer system.
⢠Provide timely and accurate information to providers, including projected service times.
⢠Identify, research, and resolve customer or provider issues using internal systems.
⢠Follow up on customer inquiries that are not immediately resolved.
⢠Complete required call logs, reports, and documentation.
⢠Organize, plan, and optimize daily and overnight trip route assignments in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
⢠Support other departments and offices with trip assignments and coordination.
⢠Ensure both short- and long-range planning is conducted to identify trips requiring eligibility verification.
⢠Handle all calls and interactions in a professional and courteous manner with members, facilities, and employees.
⢠Follow all company policies and procedures.
⢠Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
⢠Previous dispatch experience required.
⢠Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
⢠Strong analytical skills to review schedules and assign resources efficiently and cost-effectively.
⢠Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
⢠Ability to focus on assigned tasks in a fast-paced environment.
⢠Ability to work collaboratively with internal departments and external facilities/providers.
⢠Strong time management skills.
⢠Ability to take direction well and adapt to changing priorities.
⢠Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service and dispatch software applications.
⢠Strong data entry skills.
⢠Professional appearance and positive attitude.
⢠Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others.
⢠Willingness and ability to work a flexible overnight schedule.
