Outside Sales Hilton Head
Palmetto Propane is a family owned Propane, Refined Fuels, and Ice Company, currently expanding and searching for a Regional Outside Sales Representative in the Coastal Region of South Carolina & Georgia. This position will be based on an assigned territory that encompasses the coastal region of South Carolina and Georgia, this Territory Sales Representative position is responsible for developing incremental propane gallon growth for the Residential, Commercial, and Industrial business sectors in the following areas: New construction & existing business.
Territory Sales Representative responsibilities include presenting our products and services to potential clients, identifying, and targeting specific customers, and recommending strategies through a variety of trade organizations to promote and sell our products and services. To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication abilities, be highly organized, and a self-starter who is motivated to meet the established sales goals.
Ultimately, you are responsible for executing the sales plan by growing our companyยs market share through customer acquisitions and gallon growth in the assigned territory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
ย Act as a point of contact for existing and potential customers within assigned territory
ย Identify sales opportunities through residential, commercial, and industrial business channels.
ย Report on regional sales results (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually)
ย Present our products and services to prospective customers.
ย Identify customer needs and recommend product solutions.
ย Work and communicate with others across multiple divisions.
ย Collaborate with sales representatives from different territories to share best practices and support a cohesive sale approach.
Requirements:
ย Proven track record of consistently meeting or exceeding goals and represent the company at professional and trade association meetings.
ย Outside sales experience in the propane industry is preferred.
ย Must have strong sales skills such as presentation and negotiation skills, necessary to attain sales goals and objectives.
ย Must have strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
ย Excellent communication skills
ย Needs to have complete understanding of the demographics, economics, and growth opportunities with their assigned sales territory and can work independently and as a team.
ย Location ย Hilton Head, Bluffton, Beaufort & Savannah preferred.
Salary plus commissions, 401K, Health, Vision, & Dental insurance, PTO, vehicle (fixed & variable) & cell phone allowance.
