Please note: We do not sponsor work-related visas.** As a Web Application Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our core Perl-based web application, ensuring performance, reliability, and security. You will work closely with internal teams to implement critical system features, optimize database interactions, and streamline development workflows. Responsibilities: Application Development and Maintenance: Maintain existing Perl web application code to ensure high performance, stability, and security. Design, develop, and deploy new features and enhancements for the application. Collaborate with internal teams to define requirements, architecture, and deployment strategies. Database Management: Manage and optimize database interactions using SQL to ensure data integrity and efficiency. Development Tools and Processes: Utilize modern development tools, including VSCode and Git, to manage source control and streamline development workflows. Follow coding best practices, perform code reviews, and ensure adherence to development standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions. Provide input and feedback on system enhancements and process improvements. What we look for: Required Qualifications: Proficiency in Perl development. Front-end development skills: HTML/CSS and JavaScript. SQL for database querying and management. Experience with Git and development environment management with VSCode. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other programming languages such as Python or Node.js. Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Shell scripting. Proficiency with MySQL or PostgreSQL. Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Prior experience in Financial or Transportation industries is a plus.
