OT Data Engineer

American Sugar Refining, Inc. is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar, producing a full line of sweetener products. They are seeking an Entry Level Data Engineer to support the integration and management of data systems across global manufacturing operations, working closely with the Senior Data Engineer.ResponsibilitiesAssist in maintaining and troubleshooting SCADA and related data systemsSupport data integration between SAP, SCADA, LIMS, and other plant systemsContribute to the development and organization of a Unified Namespace (UNS) for real-time data accessibilityValidate and monitor data accuracy for operational reporting and analyticsCollaborate with operations and IT teams to implement data-driven improvementsSupport and advocate for the usage of manufacturing analytics platformsLearn and apply basic analytics techniques to identify trends and opportunities for optimizationSkillsBachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldStrong interest in manufacturing processes and data analyticsFamiliarity with databases (SQL), programming language (Python), analytics tools (Power BI, SSRS)Understanding of data governance concepts is desirableExcellent problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a manufacturing environmentExperience or familiarity with Ignition SCADA platformExposure to Unified Namespace (UNS) and ISA-95 data modelingKnowledge of industrial connectivity protocols (MQTT, OPC UA)Instrumentation and manufacturing process knowledgeExperience with advanced manufacturing analytics tools, such as SeeqCompany OverviewAmerican Sugar Refining, Inc. is part of the ASR Group® family of companies, which is the world’s largest refiner and marketer of cane sugar.
