OSISoft /AVEVA PI System Engineer

Job Responsibilities: As an OSIsoft PI Engineer at Data Systems Analysts, you will be part of a growing business offering at the intersection of energy management, advanced analytics, and cybersecurity. As part of your work, you will actively translate customer requirements into functional and technical designs. You will participate in designing and implementing projects that provide situational awareness and operational intelligence based on the OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System. DSA's CIP team delivers value by integrating various systems onto a common operating platform and deploying advanced analytics to uncover opportunities to improve efficiency and resilience to support a customer mission. Within the CIP team, you will regularly interface with building automation systems (BAS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other 3rd party systems. You will also use analytics packages (Python, R, etc.,.) to design and deploy algorithms that identify improvement opportunities and non-standard asset and system operations. Our group supports various industries, including universities, government agencies, utilities, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing facilities. As a system integration team, we are tasked with delivering value to the overall mission of our customer's organization. The majority of your time will be customer-facing and project-focused. We are looking for a motivated U.S. resident who is versatile and employable on both a functional and a technical level. Comprehensive PI System training will be provided to the selected candidate, and the most important qualification is a mechanical (or electrical) engineering bachelor's degree. The individual will support the development and implementation of new integration projects as well as supporting existing systems. The candidate must have a great interest in systems integration, be customer-orientated, have a hands-on mentality, and be eager to learn. Minimum Qualifications: US residency Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or Similar 3+ years of work experience in a technical role 2+ years of experience working with the AVEVA/OSIsoft PI System Self-starter with an ability to multi-task and effectively work on a large number of projects simultaneously Excellent verbal and written proficiency in the English language Strong communication and analytical skills - Ability to pass background check Desired Qualifications : OSIsoft/AVEVA PI System Accreditation Experience and interest in PI System integration work Experience working with or integrating with Building Automation Systems (BAS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems General understanding of Central Plant Systems, Facility Management, and Energy Management Experience with Predictive Modeling, energy management, and advanced analytics is a plus The candidate will work remotely but strongly prefers candidates physically located in the greater Seattle area #dsa209 #LI-JE1 Many of DSA's positions require the ability to obtain a security clearance.
