Oral Surgery Billing Specialist
About the position
eAssist Dental Solutions, the nation’s leading dental billing company, is hiring motivated professionals to help dental practices maximize revenue and eliminate insurance claim headaches—all while working from home. All positions start part-time with the ability to grow into a full-time opportunity within six months (potentially sooner). Some daytime availability is required for all positions. As an Oral Surgery Billing Specialist, you will own the claims process for assigned Oral Surgery offices. Your work directly impacts these offices’ financial success by increasing collections and reducing claim denials.
Responsibilities
• Submit and manage insurance claims to ensure maximum reimbursement.
• Resolve claim denials by drafting and submitting appeals with supporting documentation.
• Post payments, pull electronic funds transfers (EFTs), and generate financial reports for assigned offices.
• Attend weekly client meetings to provide updates and address billing concerns.
• Ensure proper claim documentation by attaching narratives, images, and chart notes.
Requirements
• At least one year of oral surgery billing experience required (insurance claim processing, AR follow-up, appeals, etc.); two years preferred.
• Comfortable using dental practice management software (WINOMS, OMS Vision, Dentrix, Open Dental etc.) and Google Suite.
• A positive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
• Strong accuracy, compliance, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently while meeting goals and upholding our brand promises.
• Must work well with others in a team environment.
• Flexibility is great, but staying organized and meeting deadlines is key.
• High school or equivalent (Required)
