Oracle field service data migration lead
Role: Data Migration Lead / Architect (Field Service Systems)
Contract: 6 months, remote, C2C.
Location: Open globally
Overview
Seeking a hands-on lead to drive data migration for a field service platform implementation. This role combines strategy, execution, and team coordination, with a focus on complex data movement across multiple modules and B2B processes.
What You’ll Do
• Lead day-to-day activities of the data migration team
• Define and execute a practical data migration approach
• Establish validation methods (record counts, error checks, data quality controls)
• Track progress, flag risks, and provide recovery plans when needed
• Remove team blockers and coordinate resolutions
• Partner with technical and business stakeholders to define data requirements and mappings
• Secure approvals on mapping logic and data transformations
• Support testing phases (SIT, QA, UAT) by addressing migration-related issues
• Build or maintain tracking dashboards (e.g., in Jira or similar tools)
• Use data tools (such as Alteryx or equivalent) to validate and test migrations
• Execute detailed migration activities when required
What You Bring
• 5+ years working with field service or service management systems
• 5+ years of hands-on data migration experience
• ~10 years in cloud implementations in a technical capacity
• Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, and migration controls
• Ability to lead while actively contributing (not a purely managerial role)
• Experience working across both technical and business teams
