Oracle Developer
Location: Harrisburg, PA (Remote)
Duration: 3+ Months
Position Purpose:
Seeking for an Oracle Developer to modernize and migrate legacy Oracle Forms applications to Oracle APEX on Oracle Database 19c. This role is essential for upgrading systems to enhance performance, security, and sustainability.
Description of Duties:
ā¢ Analyze existing Oracle Forms applications and support their migration to Oracle APEX.
ā¢ Design and develop modern APEX user interfaces.
ā¢ Develop and maintain PL/SQL stored procedures, functions, packages, and advanced queries.
ā¢ Conduct data pulls, analysis, and scripting for reporting and system enhancements.
ā¢ Implement and support application security and authorization models.
ā¢ Conduct performance profiling and tuning for improved system responsiveness.
ā¢ Participate in all phases of the system development lifecycle.
ā¢ Mentor IT staff and other developers.
ā¢ Assist with production deployments and release management.
Required Skills:
ā¢ Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
ā¢ 5ā7 years of experience developing in Oracle PL/SQL, including stored procedures, functions, packages, and advanced queries.
ā¢ 5ā7 years of experience developing applications using Oracle APEX.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS (Oracle 19c preferred).
ā¢ Strong experience using SQL Developer and/or TOAD.
ā¢ Understanding of data modeling principles.
ā¢ Experience integrating web services.
ā¢ Experience with performance tuning, debugging, and testing SQL queries.
ā¢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
ā¢ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
ā¢ Experience with Federal/State/Government projects.
ā¢ Experience modernizing legacy Oracle Forms applications.
ā¢ Exposure to XML, HTML, Web Services, Java, PL/SQL APIs, SOA architecture, Agile/Scrum methodologies.
ā¢ Strong understanding of Oracle 19c database features.
