Role: Oracle Capital Projects Module Lead Consultant
Location: 100% Remote (CST Time)
Long Term Contract – W2/C2C
About the Role: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Oracle Capital Projects Module Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the functional design, implementation, and support of the Oracle Capital Projects module within our Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) or Oracle Cloud ERP environment. You will work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional designs, and ensure the successful delivery of projects. This role requires deep expertise in the Oracle Capital Projects module, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor a team of functional consultants and/or business analysts working on Capital Projects implementations.
• Own the functional design, configuration, and implementation of the Oracle Capital Projects module.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders (project managers, engineers, finance, procurement) to understand their needs and translate them into detailed functional requirements.
• Develop and maintain functional design documents, including process flows, use cases, data mappings, and integration specifications.
• Configure and customize the Oracle Capital Projects module to meet specific business requirements.
• Oversee the testing (unit, integration, user acceptance testing) of the implemented solutions.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Oracle Capital Projects functionality.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing support for Oracle Capital Projects implementations.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle EBS/Cloud ERP features, patches, and best practices related to Capital Projects.
• Participate in project planning and execution, contributing to project timelines and deliverables.
• Collaborate with technical teams (developers, DBAs) to ensure seamless integration with other modules (e.g., General Ledger, Procurement, Project Costing). List specific integrations.
• Contribute to the development of best practices and standards for Oracle Capital Projects implementations.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in implementing and supporting Oracle EBS or Cloud ERP, with a strong focus on the Capital Projects module.
• 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing a team of functional consultants or business analysts.
• Deep understanding of project management methodologies and best practices.
• Proven ability to gather and analyze business requirements related to capital projects and translate them into Oracle Capital Projects configurations.
• Hands-on experience configuring and customizing the Oracle Capital Projects module, including specific functionality such as project setup, budgeting, cost control, reporting, and integration with other modules.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Oracle EBS or Cloud ERP certifications related to Capital Projects are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Primavera P6 integration with Oracle Capital Projects.
• Knowledge of industry-specific best practices for capital project management (e.g., construction, engineering, utilities).
• Experience with change management and user adoption strategies for large-scale ERP implementations.
