Operations Verification Specialist (OVS)
Responsibilities:
Initiate contact with entities for employment, educational, and personal verifications.
Conduct thorough online searches of public and private web resources.
Accurately input verified information into our internal background screening application.
Manage workflow in the work queue, redirecting tasks as needed to ensure timely completion for our clients.
Serve as backup support for all operations staff as required.
Handle incoming calls from clients and/or candidates.
Undertake other tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent; some college or technical college coursework is preferred.
2+ years of experience as a customer service representative is preferred.
Knowledge of background checks, pre-employment screening, and/or human resources.
Detail-oriented, resourceful, and adept at problem-solving.
Experience with remote work is preferred.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Familiarity with business/academic organizational structures.
Proficiency in locating the correct source within organizations to obtain verification information.
Superior people skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to listen and rapidly comprehend information while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.
Proficient in using Internet search engines to discover and qualify missing or incomplete verification information.
Ability to collaborate with other departments to find optimal solutions for the company and clients.
Demonstrated ability to work within company boundaries and resolve internal and external problems.
Proven ability to identify problems, gather, and evaluate information in a fast-paced environment.
Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office; competence in utilizing the Internet/Web.

Hours: Monday - Friday 11:00am- 8:00pm EST
