You will also be the front-desk receptionist, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience for all visitors and employees. This role involves close collaboration with multiple teams, including Supply Chain Planning, Production, Facilities, Lab Services, HR, Warehousing/Logistics, and EH&S.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to capably perform each of the following essential functions:
Serve as the primary receptionist for the site, greeting and engaging with all visitors in a professional, welcoming, and courteous manner
Under guidance from direct management, coordinate and maintain the lab consumable and chemical inventory systems
Lead site social activities, plan events, onboard/offboard employees, and coordinate recognition programs
Maintain appropriate levels and organization of kitchen and office supplies for site facilities, including visitor resources for meeting rooms
Independently facilitate internal and external communications at the site, including emails, physical mailings, and other materials
Under the direction of site leadership, coordinate the logistics of site-based events and large-group engagements, including agenda coordination and all event resourcing
Serve as the primary coordinator for official reports and censuses, ensuring complete data compilation and the successful filing of government censuses and annual reports
Support identified process improvement initiatives and corrective actions
Contribute to an effective, safe, and clean office and lab environment through various support activities
Diligently learn and follow the requirements of the site's quality management system
Adhere to company safety policies, including Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) policy
Perform other duties as required or assigned by management to meet business needs
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
High school diploma, or equivalent degree
Prior work experience in the areas of front-desk reception, facilities administration, office management, and/or lab coordination within a biotechnology, manufacturing, or pharmaceutical organization
Previous success utilizing ERP system data to monitor inventory activity and ensure inventory accuracy
Proven ability to follow work instructions and meet expected work deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills with audiences at all levels of an organization
Proven ability to learn and apply new information
Demonstrated success working with new online systems or technologies
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of IFS ERP system
