Operations & Communications Coordinator - Earth Peoples United (Remote)
About the Role: Earth Peoples United is seeking an Operations & Communications Coordinator who finds meaning in the details and understands that every well-crafted email, smoothly coordinated event, and organized system serves something far larger than the task itself.
This is a newly created role where you'll help shape EPU's organizational infrastructure while supporting our mission of collective wellness, community care, and Earth wisdom. Working closely with our President and incoming Content Creator, you'll coordinate events, manage communications, maintain systems, and support our growing team.
What You'll Do:
• Event & program logistics (30%) — registration, payments, communications, virtual event production
• Communications & brand management (20%) — email, newsletters, donor communications, brand consistency
• Operations & systems (15%) — Google Workspace, project management, Board support
• HR & staff coordination (15%) — onboarding, policies, benefits coordination
• Digital platforms & community (15%) — Mighty Networks management, platform security
• Content & media workflow (10%) — scheduling, archives, publishing support
What We're Looking For:
• 2+ years in operations, communications, or nonprofit support
• Experience in values-based, community-centered environments
• Strong written communication (English required, Spanish highly valued)
• Comfortable with Google Workspace, project management tools, email platforms
• Organized but flexible; reliable without needing constant direction
• Drawn to this work because it matters, not just because it's a job
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT) for workflow optimization is a plus
