Open Source Intelligence Analyst - Remote

An Open Source Intelligence Analyst creates reports using SMI Aware's proprietary software application and other web based tools. Primary activities include searching social media, conducting advanced search engine queries, filtering results, and writing an analytical summary of findings. • Must have advanced understanding of how to use social media and open-source intelligence to find information about individuals and companies • Must be adaptable to learn new skills and software • Must be proficient user of Microsoft Office and Google Suite • Knowledge of Boolean Search Engine queries and advanced search settings on social media platforms • Advanced writing and analytical skills are required • Must possess demonstrated ability to reliably meet project timelines • Bachelors Degree degree in related field (Intelligence Studies, Criminal Justice, Criminology, etc.) or industry specific certification preferred • Bilingual in Spanish and/or French a plus (reading and writing) • Must have reliable high speed internet • Availability for working alternative shifts Personal Qualities: • Detail oriented • Self-starter and fast learner • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills • High energy and drive • Proactive and adaptable, with a demonstrated success managing schedules SMI Aware offers Healthcare, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability Insurance, Simple IRA, 15 days PTO per year and 10 holidays.
