Job Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Online YouTube Content Reviewer to join our global team. In this remote role, you will play a critical part in ensuring a safe and positive experience for all YouTube users by reviewing user-generated content against our comprehensive Community Guidelines and policies. This position requires strong analytical skills, an unwavering commitment to quality, and the ability to make consistent, objective decisions in a fast-paced environment. You will work from home, contributing to the integrity of one of the world’s largest content platforms. Key Responsibilities • Objectively review and moderate user-submitted content (videos, comments, thumbnails, etc.) on the YouTube platform according to established policies and guidelines. • Identify and accurately categorize content that violates community standards, including hate speech, misinformation, violence, harassment, and other prohibited material. • Escalate complex or ambiguous cases to senior reviewers or policy teams for further evaluation and decision-making. • Maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency in content moderation decisions. • Provide constructive feedback on policy clarity and potential improvements to enhance content moderation processes. • Stay informed about current events, online trends, and potential emerging threats to user safety and platform integrity. • Collaborate effectively with a diverse, global team of content reviewers and cross-functional partners. Required Skills • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex guidelines consistently. • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in decision-making. • Strong understanding of online content, digital media trends, and user behavior. • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and maintain productivity in a remote work environment. • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, with clear and concise communication skills. • Comfort and resilience working with potentially graphic, sensitive, or disturbing content while maintaining objectivity. • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in policies, procedures, and tools. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field. • Previous experience in content moderation, online safety, trust and safety, or a similar field. • Familiarity with YouTube's platform, Community Guidelines, and policies. • Knowledge of global cultural nuances and sensitivities related to online content. • Experience working in a remote or distributed team setting.
