We’re growing fast and hearing every day how tutoring changes lives for students and tutors alike. What this opportunity looks like This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. You set your availability, choose your subjects, and teach online; we handle family matching, scheduling tools, and payments so you can focus on instruction. Why tutors choose Dojo Tutor • Meaningful 1:1 impact with Pre-K–9 students in reading, writing, and math • Teach your way with ready-to-use resources (no rigid curriculum) and AI-supported tools (e.g., session recaps) • We bring the families and provide ongoing platform support • Clear pay: Up to$30/hour, paid twice per month via Remote What great tutors typically do (you’re in control) • Offer a reliable weekly availability (many successful tutors set 5+ hours/week) so families can book • Personalize instruction, celebrate progress, and communicate clearly with families • After trials, guide families on next steps for ongoing learning (subscriptions) • Engage with feedback and optional trainings to keep getting better What you’ll bring • Experience helping kids grow in reading, writing, and/or math (e.g., phonics, number sense, current methods) • Strong communication and rapport-building skills with children and families • Professional online setup: computer with camera/mic, stable internet, quiet, well-lit space • Willingness to complete a background check (required for activation). Teaching certification is a plus, not required.
