Online Math Teacher
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Teacher to provide engaging and effective virtual instruction to middle high school students. This role requires expertise in advanced mathematical concepts, test-taking strategies, and the ability to help students excel in their coursework and exams.
Responsibilities:
ā¢ Teach 6th grade - 12th grade in an engaging virtual environment.
ā¢ Prepare students for exam success through problem-solving strategies, practice exams, and conceptual understanding.
ā¢ Explain complex mathematical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
ā¢ Utilize digital tools and resources to enhance online learning.
ā¢ Provide feedback on student progress and assist with challenging topics.
Requirements:
ā¢ State Teaching Credential (Required ā Must be currently valid)
ā¢ Experience Teaching Math (3+ years preferred)
ā¢ Experience in Online Teaching (At least 1 year preferred)
ā¢ Strong Internet Connection (Reliable high-speed WiFi required)
ā¢ Afternoon & Evening Availability (Between 2 PM ā 9 PM, based on student needs)
ā¢ Resides in the U.S. (Required)
Preferred Qualifications:
ā¢ Experience grading or preparing students for the AP Math exam.
ā¢ Ability to guide students through FRQs and multiple-choice strategies
ā¢ Experience with online learning platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Desmos, etc.)
ā¢ Passion for making advanced math concepts engaging and understandable
Compensation:
ā¢ Competitive hourly rate (based on experience and credentials)
ā¢ Flexible scheduling based on availability
