Summary Description: NorthStar American School (NAS) is seeking highly experienced and qualified teachers for their K-12 classes and ESL classes. The successful candidates will work online with students, utilizing their experience and skills as a teacher to provide a rigorous, proven curriculum and certified American teachers for students who seek quality international education. The position is... part-time and allows for a flexible schedule. Compensation and Benefits: The pay for this position ranges between $20 - $25 per hour and is paid twice monthly by direct deposit. Responsibilities: - Work directly with students, utilizing your experience and skills as a teacher. - Evaluate student papers, projects, tests, and other assessments. - Provide individualized lesson plans for each student/class. - Conduct tutoring hours from Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM EST and Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM EST. - Provide a flexible schedule, somewhat flexible around the times you are available. - Be available for at least two afternoons and/or evenings a week and two Saturdays a month. - Work from home, using a well-lit, distraction-free environment to conduct your lessons. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in education with relevant specializations (TESOL, TEFL, CELTA).
