Role Overview
Hinds Community College is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Online Instructors to join our eLearning team. As an Online Instructor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality online education to our students. This is a part-time position offering a flexible work environment and the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our learners.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective online instruction in assigned courses, aligned with college and department goals.
Maintain current professional credentials and successfully complete the required online instructor training.
Utilize the college's learning management system (LMS) to facilitate communication, deliver content, and assess student learning.
Provide timely and comprehensive feedback to students, adhering to established communication policies.
Develop and utilize diverse teaching techniques and resources to motivate student achievement.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other instructional information.
Participate in professional development activities and contribute to the continuous improvement of online learning programs.
Ensure effective use of proctoring processes for online assessments.
Stay informed about college operating procedures to support student navigation of college requirements.
Qualifications
Must meet faculty qualifications for Academic and/or CTE classes.
Master's Degree required.
Demonstrated ability to utilize technology for effective online teaching.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Commitment to student success and the Caring Campus approach.
Work Environment
This is a remote position requiring the use of computer technology and regular communication with students and colleagues via email and the LMS. The work environment is generally a quiet, home-based office setting.
