Online Academic Tutor (English / Math) – Remote
About Us Pi-Lingual Tutoring is a U.S.-based online academic support program serving students across multiple states. We provide structured instruction in English, Math, SHSAT, and SAT preparation through individualized and small-group online learning. We are currently expanding our tutor team and building a qualified instructor pool for current and future teaching opportunities. Position Overview We are seeking reliable and professional online tutors who can deliver engaging, structured instruction while maintaining clear communication and instructional consistency. This role is best suited for educators who value professionalism, accountability, and long-term student growth. Responsibilities • Conduct live online tutoring sessions via Zoom • Deliver instruction using academy-approved curriculum and materials • Maintain full scheduled instructional time • Assign homework through Google Classroom • Submit brief session feedback and progress notes after each lesson • Maintain professional communication and scheduling practices • Follow academy instructional and operational guidelines Qualifications ------ Required ------ • Strong English communication skills • Previous tutoring or teaching experience • Reliable internet connection • Professional online teaching environment • Ability to explain concepts clearly at the student's level ------ Preferred ------ • Education, English, Math, TESOL, or related background • Experience with SHSAT, SAT, or academic enrichment programs • Experience working with multilingual or bilingual students ------ Compensation ------ • $30/hour (standard academic tutoring) • $35/hour (advanced instruction, including SAT preparation) Compensation and teaching assignments may increase based on performance, reliability, and instructional quality. ------ Professional Expectations ------ This is a structured instructional environment. Tutors are expected to • Maintain reliable scheduling • Complete full instructional sessions • Submit required documentation after each class • Follow established communication standards • Demonstrate professionalism and consistency Teaching responsibilities include lesson delivery, follow-up, and documentation. ------ Schedule ------ Flexible scheduling available. However, applicants must be able to provide consistent weekly availability.
