We are seeking talented and qualified English (US) to Spanish (US) Post-Editors with experience in medical terminology, particularly in patient-facing content (e.g., AVS).
Responsibilities:
Review and refine machine-translated content from English (US) into Spanish (US)
Improve accuracy, fluency, and overall quality of MT
Ensure final text reads naturally, as if originally written by a native speaker
Deliver high-quality work within fast turnaround times
Requirements:
Applicants must meet at least one of the following criteria:
A degree in translation, linguistics or language studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education; or
a degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education and has the equivalent of two years of full-time professional experience in translating; or
the equivalent of five years of full-time professional experience in translating.
Additional requirements:Bilingual proficiency in English (US) and Spanish (US) (native Spanish preferred)
Strong localization skills and cultural knowledge of both source and target languages
Experience with medical terminology in the US market (patient-facing content such as AVS)
Experience in post-editing machine translation (MT) and/or localization
Familiarity with MT and LLM technologies
Proficiency in CAT tools, especially memoQ
Skills:
Experience evaluating post-edited content
Strong understanding of:Fluency, naturalness, accuracy, and coherence in post-edited texts
Raw MT output evaluation, including error identification, post-editing effort, and turnaround time
Additional language proficiency is an asset.
